As most of you know, I very much enjoy alchemy. But I feel like it is lacking, and could be a lot more enjoyable.

This is the first major update to my previous mod: “Minor Alchemy Overhaul”. This update has also included a new name, as this is now an official major project for me.

Alchemy for Everyone

I have removed the lock that disallowed anyone but spellcasters to enjoy Alchemy.

Now any human or other occult types (Alien/Vampire/Mermaid) will now be able to craft their own elixirs.

Note: At this time your sim will gain spellcaster EXP even if they are not a spellcaster. I will be fixing this in the future with a new Alchemy skill that is separate from spellcasting.

You can also travel to the Magic Realm HQ and ask the sages for recipes just like spellcasters!

There is still a cooldown of 3 in-game hours to ask for another recipe.

Herbalism on Cauldron

I have added new recipes that will allow you to craft all of the Outdoor Retreat herbalism potions on the cauldron.

Each recipe will give you 5 “servings” of the elixirs you craft. Just like the ROM normal potion recipes.

Herbalism Price & Ingredient Adjustments

I have adjusted all of the ingredients for each herbalism recipe. This includes the recipes for the grill, stove, and cauldron.

Below are the ingredients required, and the retail price of the herbalism elixir.

Each herbalism elixir has a crafting cost of §5. Think of this as the cost of your vials. Each recipe also has a unique ingredient cost, depending on the items required.

Ingredients are now OPTIONAL if you do not have the ingredients required you will pay the full cost shown when crafting. If you have all the ingredients you only pay §5 to craft.

Purchase Alchemy Ingredients – Computer

You will find the “Buy Alchemy Ingredients” menu under the “Order” menu on any computer. Here you can purchase anything you might need for Alchemy/Herbalism.

This is an Optional File** – If you do not wish to be able to buy these ingredients, just delete the .package file included in the download.

Minor Changes

I have changed the total price for all alchemy potions, so the prices are a little more realistic and you no longer make tons of profit from selling your elixirs.
