I have finally decided to revamp my “30 Color Palette” that I have used for the last few years. Instead of basing these colors off of the old palette, I came up with three shades for each color of the rainbow.

So we still have 30 colors, but there is a better range of tones. I have also tried to dull down some of the bright colors compared to my old palette. That way the lighting in game is a bit easier on the colors, and they look less pixelated.

About Recolor the World

I have given this palette a new name, even though it is a revamp of the old one. I plan on recoloring all of the EA build/buy mode items as well as some of the clothing in this new palette. So recolor the world just fits!

There are a few different files you can use to make your recolor life easier, including Sims4Studio palette swatches, photoshop actions, and photoshop swatches.

First up Sims4Studio Palette Swatches, these are for the newest version of S4S with the new Palette tool. To install these go to My Documents > Sims4Studio > Palettes > and place the palette file in that folder.

Next we have Photoshop swatches. These are placed in Adobe > Photoshop > Presets > Swatches > and place the swatches file in that folder. Once you have opened PS just import the swatches from that file location.

Last we have Photoshop actions. These are placed in Adobe > Photoshop > Presets > Actions > and place the actions file in that folder. Once you have opened PS just import the actions from that file location. There no need to play multiple actions to achieve a specific color. If you want Yellow, just play the yellow action. If you want purple, just play the purple action. The action marked (base) is for a personal reminder, just in case I decide to add more colors in the future.
